TYPICAL PROJECTS

The following is a description of typical projects with which DESOM has been involved;

PHYSICAL HYDRAULIC MODELLING AND/OR COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMIC MODELLING of complex fluid flow problems associated with mass and heat flows from Electric Arc Furnaces, ventilation of meltshops, emissions to atmosphere and flows in complex gas handling systems.

DESIGN OF PRIMARY FUME CONTROL SYSTEMS such as Design of Primary off-gas hoods for BOF's, 4th-Hole systems for EAF's, gas cooling and gas cleaning systems.

DESIGN OF SECONDARY FUME COLLECTION SYSTEMS such as side-draft hoods for LMF's, BOF charging and tapping hoods, Blast Furnace emissions control, roof canopy and fume suppression systems

DESIGN OF MATERIAL HANDLING SYSTEMS

DESIGN OF ENGINEERED CONTROLS FOR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS such as pressurized HVAC systems for meltshop control rooms.
