TYPICAL PROJECTS

The following is a description of typical projects with which DESOM has been involved;

PHYSICAL HYDRAULIC MODELING AND/OR COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMIC MODELING of complex fluid flow problems associated with molten metal/slag separation in flame reactor vessels, gas/droplet dynamics in continuous smelting vessels, mass and heat flows from pyrometallurgical process vessels such as Pierce Smith Converters, ventilation of large building spaces, emissions to atmosphere and flows in complex gas handling systems

DESIGN OF PRIMARY FUME CONTROL SYSTEMS such as Design of Primary off-gas hoods, gas cooling and gas cleaning systems.

DESIGN OF SECONDARY FUME COLLECTION SYSTEMS such as close capture, side-draft, push-pull, canopy hood and fume suppression systems

DESIGN OF MATERIAL HANDLING SYSTEMS

DESIGN OF ENGINEERED CONTROLS FOR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS such as cadmium process isolation systems and pressurized HVAC systems for control rooms.
