SMETER FUME CONTROL

Design/build Project of the fugitive emissions from a flash smelter. The project began with a model study to determine the most effective control for the fugitive secondary emissions with a specific model to optimize the converter hood design. Work included the development and installation of a complete secondary fume control strategy, including the control of the flash smelting furnace slagging and tapping operations; the electric furnace slagging and tapping operations; the anode furnace charging, refining and casting operations.
